They sell those Sylvania Silverstar bulbs at Wal-Mart considerably cheaper than they cost at an Auto Parts Store like Advance Auto or Auto Zone.

I'm running one in my 1986 XLH 883/1200. I upgraded my Sealed Beam Headlight a couple of years ago with an Adjure Tri Bar Black Dot Reflector Headlight Kit.

The Kit came with a Xeon 55/60w bulb, but it crapped out within a month of the install. As a replacement I bought the double pack set of Silver star bulbs, now I keep the spare in my saddle bag in case the other one craps out I'll have one onhand to replace it.

I was just wondering, it was so bright and white behind me during the rain ride Friday night from the restaraunt. I was thinking of going to that. Thanks!

On a personal note, Dan, what kind of headlight do you run on that bike?

The weekend was a blast! Anyone who didn't go really missed something.

I hate I missed the Rally this past weekend, I had some other obligations and wasn't able to make it.

Kevin told me you guys had a good time and got in some good riding to Linville Falls and 421 The Snake over to Shady Valley, TN.

I know you guys usually only do this Rally in the Spring so I wanted to ask and see is there any interest in doing it again maybe in the Fall.

Sept is usually pretty good Fall weather up in this area and you'd get to enjoy the leaf changes that time of year as well.

Maybe if theres enough interest we could get a second meeting in the fall and give people another chance to meet up for a ride that couldn't make the Spring Rally.

My plans at the moment are to ride up after work on Thurs. If that doesn't work out, then I'm heading out first thing Fri. a.m. Leaving here from Mebane, NC it's a two hour ride.

Cool.  I'm still hoping to be able to meet somebody along the way to ride up with. If not, it's just a long lonesome highway.

Also, is anyone staying in the bunkhouse or does everyone have cabins?

I usually tent camp but I'm contemplating the bunkhouse myslf. I'm gettin' too old and too lazy to put the dang thang' up!
